Few Hours Before Midnight…

This was taken a few hours before midnight… while people were motoring to the city square for the countdown, I rode the opposite direction, had to do some errands. New year? What new year? I ended up sleeping through the night. The thought of staying up late for the fireworks just seemed so illogical to me… Perhaps I’m getting too old for even more things in life…

This facility is the newest addition to the port, with people talking about the late supply of products and the ensuing increase in prices, in 2012, we’re hoping for the better. Honestly, all we want that things get to be easier, in some aspects perhaps, but you have to admit that life is harsher by our own wrongdoing.

the days are coming to a close… or so the over dramatic people like to say, it’s just another point in our days where some red dots mark the calendar, telling us about some prescheduled… thingy, drowning us under the assumption that we are out of the daily mundane state of being, while we are in fact living in an endless repetition of such… assumption. And it has been happening for thousands of years.

and today i’d like to see some pictures that i have posted to this blog, this one comes to mind. nothing really special about this one, not technically nor in any other aspects of photography, that we, the enthusiasts like to boast. but when i showed the printed version of this one to people, there were always some remarks of joy or even awe… having done some paid gigs recently, i realized that what the consumers wanted and what we had in our mind can be half a world away. but they deserve what they wanted, because they do.

i recall the saying: ignorance is bliss… i wish i had not known any better then i was about anything, that should make things easier. just point… and shoot… and a little twist on the barrel.
